I love the new possibility to craft beds!
Are there plans to implement double-beds for two people?

Yes. Believe it or not we do also like the ideas of marriage and procreation. But something of that magnitude will probably be the 'thing' for a future expedition or what not.

I think it would be hilarious and awesome if each new player who downloaded the game was 'born' to a set of vets randomly. And when that player dies, fails, or otherwise stops plaing those two vets gain significantly madness levels. But as long as that player is playing the vets (parents) gain a % of his inspiration gains.
Etc. etc.
Lots of fun ways to think about it. Forcing vets to take care of noobs for mutual benefits etc. etc.
