We do indeed have plans for grandfather clocks and many other things that the TimeKeeper will do. we just didn't flesh it out enough to our liking.

Where is the timekeeper is there an actual person?

I was one of the first people on last night after the restart and played for a little while just to log out and back in to see if I had white hair it did not changes so I was wondering if it was retro-active or pro-active on when the calculating of time is. For instance does heff have white hair from all his chatting in town in the past?

I kill rabbits from time to time, never more than 15, I found 2 or 3 pocket watches. Maybe if you mass kill the rabbits, you won't get their precious watch ;)

JohnCarver wrote:Yes I have plans for a non-wear pipe on the store. I was thinking peace pipe... But maybe ivory pipe is better... hmm....

Why not both.

Meershaum would be a nice one also if you want to avoid the whole Ivory trade thing which could get you into trouble. I just assumed you would eventually have a Native Pack in the store with Bows and Arrows and peace Pipes and stuff like that.

Ideas for Pipes:

Pipe Tomahawks have to be thing in this game. Both an Axe and a Pipe and only made in America.

Meershaum Pipes were much more common than Ivory Pipes.

Whale Bone Scrimshaw Pipes would also be more appropriate for New England. Exotic wood pipes and Ivory Pipes were mostly found in the Far East and not in Europe or America.

How stupid can you be?

Are you just griefing for no reason? What are you talking about? They ARE selling for thousands. They ARE super rare. What's your problem?

When were these "good old days" you speak of? I've been on the Internet since 92, and gaming on local BBSs a year or two before then. (I remember 92 because it was the first year I could afford my own phone line for a data connection.) never has an implemented feature been reverted like you speak of. If any of the "new features" were going to be reverted because the peanut gallery cried too loudly, it would have been Star Wars: Galaxies New Game Experience. The hubbub here is like a mountain brook softly trickling downstream compared to that waterfall of tears.

And to note: game developers always care about something. Usually it's their passion for their game, but on a rare occasion it's just pure greed with the players/investors getting fleeced with a half-finished product. I don't think MM fits the latter. The quality of work they are doing is just too good.

@jakhollin: didn't it say it didn't count until the person logged out next to a bed? If heff ever bothers to log out "the right way" he might become the eldest. (I wouldn't know how much time he spends online or who his character is. I mem everyone, friend no one.)

What about my suggestion about making Pocket Watches less rare to help noobs be safer outside their walls?

(Fingers crossed about Cricket Fiddles and Lily-pads being less rare as well) :D

Also I'd like to suggest that Fishing lower madness instead of insanity just so we have more ways to lower Madness levels. Maybe You could make it so that if you caught a fish it had a chance to lower a Madness level but if you lose a fish it only lowers insanity levels a bit. That'd make it an interesting mini-game and any noob could do it.

Dallane wrote:=No **** there is a reason for that you moron.

What's the reason, why are you griefing me about lily-Pads? Why not make them less rare? Don't just pop on and say "You're Stupid" and not say why. Seems sort of dumb for a mod to do that on his forum.

No to more common rare drops.

No to more ways to lower madness.

Well consider it. They're pretty damn rare now. I think my fishing mini-game thing for madness is one of my best ideas ever. :D
