The issue was with 'mass and quick teleportation and transit of goods'. Since i was putting a 'timer' on it to avoid people running away from danger to couple with teh new logout timer, it seemed a bit too harsh to have a timer on the port AND a timer on how frequently you could port. If there is a strong faction that wants BOTH timers, I could always put it back so you have both timers but I felt in the end nobody is going to be teleporting massive amounts of goods repeatedly when they have 40+ seconds of waiting.


Port timers were ONE thing in a big nothingness that actually helped reduce alts, or, well, increas the use of alts for rather insane players... get them back in place!
On the other hand, IF the 10/20 minutes timers would be back in, there would be no need for another 40sec CD for traveling from/to boston.

In fact, you should have a travel time of some sorts that makes it an acutal fast travel instead of a teleport, so say 30sec or so where you cant move and stuff to get there.
Well, people will not like that, but at least get the timers back in!


Also:
+1 for beds, having them is great, no matter the use, being useful in the current way is even better

yes, but not the better one :o

edit: is the simple one even better then the leafy one? it sounds like it from using more materials but unsure.

I can assure you this is not the case. I could make teleporting with scented goods not-allowed and not lose an ounce of sleep over it. I have no issue with the idea that raiders only take what they carry easily and/or use locally. But that 'problem' doesn't seem related to this one and as I said I still consider a 40 second port timer a huge pain for mass-transit.


A 40 sec timer is nothing if you raid someone, absolutely nothing!

Also, the 20 sec logout actually caters A LOT to the pvp oriented (noob-slaughtering) part of the community, therefore it just ..."looks" a little suspicous to have those two changes besides each other!

also from the "looks" leafy beds should use 6-10 braches for the surrounding.

what elegant bed? best i see is simple. where kings sized bed for 2?

Shockingly 40seconds is about the amount of time it actually takes between teleports to drop off the goods/sort them/get more goods, and run back to the teleport location.

Taking into account you are moving to a more secure barrel to trade. ( Maybe a bit Less time why you are trading in providence)

Thumbs up for the bed.

But BOO for the removal of the timer. I like this feature. It doesn't change anything for us and hampers with raiders. Moreover I hope that in the long run you would have removed the teleport altogether, granting us the right to teleport only through landmarks and expensive building or items (with restrictions such as timers and money).

I love the sleeping mechanic, in the future could have actual models with pajamas and animations like snore, waking up and siting in the bed groggy...
