WIth all the new paving in the game there should be a Salem version of this thread. Would be pretty cool!

I'm afraid that would be impossible with current salem specifics. There is enough tools to make something simple, yes, but actually beautiful things can not be created at this point.
1. There is not enough clean colours. That seems to be being fixed little by little, but the colours we get are too far from basic ones. We have deep violet, but don't have red, blue and green and only got white few weeks ago. Dross could count as black I suppose, but there are other issues with it.
2. The weird way pavings overlap. Everyone know and suffer, eh. Doesn't help that it changes after each restart. And that some pavings have more square-ish edges than others.
Like, dross was on top originally, don't think I have any full pics though

3. Backgroound issues. It's not easy to find big flat piece of land and almost impossible to make it monocolour. All salem biomes are so bright and colourful, not many of them can be used as a background. Even simple pictures look lost, more so on the minimap:

Terraforming tools are too random and expensive. Just digging over and over untill it is the way you want it would take months. Sometimes you can use biomes colours as advantage of course, but in most cases they are going to be a problem.
4. The whole 3d thing and size of the tiles. Pavings simply don't look good in game other than from top view or on the minimap, small ones look sort of awkward and big ones don't fit

5. All sorts of small inconveniences. Limited teleportation, timer, weight, relative materials expensiveness and all that. Comparing to HnH where you need an alt with a flask and couple of days of bricks burning and no risks are involved, that would seem rather pointless to most players.

I guess what I'm saying is no nice things?
