He told you here:

lachlaan wrote:With so little info and the obvious communications issues that might arise, i can just suggest the generic possible solutions. Update your video drivers to the latest ones, delete the game from users\salem and users\.salem ( the cache) , possibly turn off, or turn down hardware acceleration if applicable with your system. Also windows update just have their way with your computer under the sheets if you haven't turned them on, so there's still that possibility. Also would still be nice to know which client you're using.

It's in C\Users\(Your name)\.salem\cache

specifically, try turning down shadows (it should be somewhere in windows.conf or salem.conf or something of the likes).
There is also a console command to do it, but I can't remember it at the moment.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Something about OpenGL? Hmm, what haven't you try?
If you're desperate to play I suggest you install another operating system like linux. A small tiny one is sufficient :)
You thought I quit.

I still insist you let us know wether you've tried all 3 clients and if so, does the issue occur on each of them? If you haven't, try them all. If you can't update your video drivers, let us know "Durr hurr they are up to date, i promise i checked".

I mean I understand there's a language barrier here, but if you try you will most definetly understand the things either I or Loftar requested, information wise, and should be able to take your time and reply to each point asked. Unless you want the ghost of IT past to posess you and move your body to solve your issue, I really hope you become more compliant with people's requests :P I was half thinking of killing some time on teamviewer having a go at fixing it but you need to learn to deal with tech support attempts.

Answer their god damned questions already will you -_-
The question was not what client you used, but did you try all the clients.

Did you manage to delete the downloaded files for all clients and try to download them again yet? Could be an issue with the jogl stuff, though I doubt it'd be an issue for just one person. Tried turning down hardware acceleration? Or perhaps the mod that removes smoke. Old vidcards should at most have issues with shaders, I think. So changing the config file to remove all fancy stuff and using the no-smoke thing might work. Kand himself suggested the shadows thing initially, so give him the feedbax.
