might there be able to have an option inputted to turn off the grass from mini map, nearly impossible to see any other forgeable on it currently

Make me wonder if some secret flowers that won't show up on minimap is a good idea...

Grass is off on the minimap on the default client. I suspect the custom guys will work out some solution for y'all shortly.

Awesome patch, it will be alot funnier to rent a horse and walk around hehehe :D

Hope Kandarin removes the minimap icons soon, its like the tons of reeds started a freaking rebelion hahahahaahaha!

Are pumpkins/green peppers/yellow peppers being left alone despite the gourds new-found characteristics?

They are left unaltered. While it is true that it is significantly harder to acquire them on a fresh world (and intended) it should have little bearing on providence as I imagine the price of peppers and pumpkins will remain largely unaffected.
