1,000% Power increases for a system that is largely "End-Game" is one of the most broken and damaging things that Salem had. You will never see it return. The mere fact that you can "Double" your power with the existing system is probably too much, but I have no immediately plans on nerfing it yet.

Please rethink purity, it was the best and deepest feature of salem before. With all the alchemies and the huge reward.
I think it was the best feature that drew me into salem, it took me a long time to understand, but it was it was so rewarding that you moved even for +1% water.
It was able to encourage PVP, yet I've never heard about a fight because of it, so maybe this wasn't successful.

Even if you can't bring back the old system, please think about a better way. As it is now it's just a waiting game. Anyone can have the best purity anywhere it just takes really long.
And it isn't rewarding enough, there isn't a great difference between having a 40% butcher knife or a 60% one. Or something like that.

The purity now is simply better. Keep in mind that the Salem's community is growing larger and larger and with the current purity system everyone has a fighting chance as long as they put hard work and time.

With the old system what happened and what would happen now is a few factions holding key purity nodes and new players never able to catch up.

Largely this. Biles are already a strong enough barrier to compete, exaggerated purity benefits were just the nail in the coffin.

JC, a little wish:
Before Release you should build a press area or a kind of this.
What i mean with this?
This should be a site thats contains general Infos, Links to existing press reports, and a press pack with usable Salemgraphics in it.
The last point would also be usefully for players, who build their own Sites/Forums/Blogs or whatever.
Salem Wiki (PM me if you need help with editing)
Report corrections and new things here.

I did not say you should bring the old system back. I said you should make changes the this one, I'm not sure what changes would be the best, yet you should think about this.
For now purity is only time based (there may be one or two exceptions but leave them for now), so for newer players it seems impossible to catch up with the others.
I say there should be more ways to increase purity, like you could bring back the old Alchemy skill mechanics, or give some random purity back to the foraged goods.
And most of all extend the effect of purity to other things like it was before. Like inspirationals and such so we couldn't just avoid purity, it would be in every aspect of the game.
One of the best things in the old system was the four different kind of purities, it was so deep. You could at least think about some ideas to give back some of it.

i think that is the problem.... JC doesn't like deep thinking.

or things that look nice... like planting trees next to things instead of 2 spaces out into the middle of no where that you would normally try and walk...
RIP: Purity, you will be missed.
