Planters & Pilgrims

Postby TwiztidJay » Fri Mar 20, 2015 8:10 am

I was looking into the topics that have discussed already and saw something on making our easier to pay alone. i do like the idea because it gives everyone an option to play some people like to play and mmo alone but if the developers don't want to do that than maybe there's is a way to find a group easier without such a worry you will get killed by someone.

What are you suggesting? There already is a planters and pilgrims section of the forums, for people looking for a town to join.

Yes there is but at the risk of having months of worked destroyed by the player joining your town. I think having that section only for people really looking to join a town without trolling but how i don't know. Have it where people in a town can't damage that town in anyway. Only the mayor can have people join a party to find the town so someone doesn't join just to invite people to destroy the town. Have some kind of probation period for me members of a town. I'm sure i whorl think of other ways but that a few ideas. I really would love someone to join me but to paranoid who ever join will Ryu dressing what i built

You need to research the current mechanics of how towns work.

Typically no one is going to invite you to a town just to kill you unless you have really pissed someone off. Even then they will have high risk.

If you are scared of dying and losing stuff then this game is going to one day make you very upset.

You simply fail to utilize the trial member system. Learn it, and then put your mind at ease. All villages currently using the Trial Member system smartly are not at risk for taking new members.

So you're saying that somebody like Darwoth couldn't keep up the act for a month?

You have to adjust the trial system to how much is your village worth as a potential target.
Sure, people can keep the act up for many months. But if they are required to invest a lot of time every day then it's getting hard to keep up with the deception.

You can easily extend trial memberships beyond a month if you have not been able to 'spot' darwoth in that time.

But to answer your question, no, I don't think Darwoth could keep up an 'act' for a month. Given that his 'voice' is known and that after a month serious villages are probably on some form of voice communication it would require a fairly large amount of negligence to be infiltrated by Darwoth.

Other players tho, not as hard. Again tho, that is the reason why you can dynamically lengthen the time of a trial membership to however long you need to gain confidence in your recruits.

If voice chat is a necessity in the game you should really include it in the game itself.
