Also, what about meat jerky? My jerky just finished IRL and they are delicious.
I'd suggest meat cuts should be put in a tanning tub with 10% concentrated salt water for a day, and then on a drying rack for like 3-5 days.

Okay a bit of a language mix here, pardon, I'm talking about Salted Meat. Jerky is not made that way, yes? Might even be historically accurate since people had to use stuff like meat salting to preserve it better.

Smoked meat shreads should turn into meat jerky, maybe some kind of regen food.

This isn't a new idea but I still fully support Smoked fish and some other kind of jerky other than Turkey/Argo neck jerky.
I hope that the whole fish category of foods is getting an overhaul with the next patch.

Fish category is actually pretty decent IMO.

+1 to smoked fish. It would fit well historically.
Also it could be nice to see brining be implemented.
