Copper mining quick question

I recently started a copper mine, and wanted to ask if the procedure is any different than mining for iron.
You see, i have been mining like hell but ... not a single boulder!

there's no more copper or iron mines, but you still have two ways to locate em (woodstick and rod)
other than that, they are all the same now
keep digging

Grey is Iron, Orange is Copper, Black is hard rock (which may cause your mine to go deeper (beware, this may KO you and may eventually lead to "dangerous" depths (level 8 is it?))) Blueish Greenish is silver.
