Will archeology system allow us to uncover the secrets of those landmarks? Like who built them, why and when?

also what is that water creature that looks like its Fencing with a sinking boat?

edit: i suppose its Carvers own "Pit of Sarlacc" where his villains throw in all the people he doesnt like :P
