You are right. My english is not the best, so i was influenced of wrong think about the right meaning.
I have think the word puppies are the tiny version of a pet in meaning of sweet and breeding.
Shame on me! ;)

And you always right, that the ladies in this time had lapdogs.
But i think the rich ladies was not under the first pilgrims.
They had no reason to go over the great sea and to begin a new, maybe better live.
They came later, when the pilgrims have civilized the rough land.

P.S. Now have i learned a new word. Lapdog. It reads funny, when i strictly translate the individual parts of word it calls like a dog that makes a round ;)

I kind a see pets in a mmo as something akin to jumping the shark, so I don't know. I'm not sure I'd feel okay about breaking into someone's claim and murdering ytheir dogs or stealing the puppies Cruella de Vil style,

Idk I just kind of don't like pets in MMO.
Also, swamp of dogs greets you when you break into a house is... annoying, to say the least.
You thought I quit.

The lap is actually the thighs where your dog or cat would sit on ;p. As for rich ladies at this time I can't remember the exact date for Salem's historical background but I feel safe saying that rich people and nobles from England arrived very quickly in the colonies, either as governors or seeking new business opportunities. They would have of course brought with them their wives and daughters though sometimes they may have gone alone hoping not to stay too long in a harsh yet promising new land.

1640s. Living in the colonies wasn't particularly luxurious even for the well-to-do at this time. But it is possible some had lapdogs. Pets in the colonies were weird; in fact they used to tame deer and squirrels and stuff.

This is, that i mean.
Maybe there was lapdogs. But in the early years the fine ladies certainly would not want to live in the Colonies.

You could do Lapdogs like you make wilted tea leaves, leave a puppy in a box for three days or something.

JC did say they wanted to add wolves, maybe they will wolf pups will be their rare drop.
