Letters

Postby Scipio » Fri Oct 26, 2012 12:02 pm

Wouldn't it be convenient to have an inspirtional-like item, which you could put in an urne/basket/etc. of your neighbour, working like a letter? Instead of wooden signs, which are placed in the land - and rather expensive - it could be a good idea to leave a message. Often, it happens to me, that I find a new claim, but the owner is not a home. Leaving a letter with a message (maybe some more characters than a sign has) which he can read later, would be very useful. It also would have an advantage in a village, if you want to leave a leaflet to your fellow citizen, to remind them to do something (like preparing food, fire, etc.). In these cases, signs are not handy.

And it would also give some style for all those raiders out there, who want to write a ransom note or blackmailing letter.

In conclusion, thanks God for being born a Venetian, as all the rest of the world, when compared with the policy and justice of the Signory, is nought.

Thanks.

It would also be an interesting idea to use Turkey feathers for the letter (quill), when crafting them.

maybe we need to be able to grow hennep, use it as a new fabric for clothes, and tier 2 would be some nice white widow & tier 3 some amazing haze, good for inspirationals & gluttonyfood (can go high with them).

Suggested previously under a few things. Try looking up mail or messages.

Well, I'm aware of this fact, but it is not the same. A post-and-mail-system intends, that you know your counterpart. But leaving a letter from your inventory in a urne or basket is slightly different, because you can put it anonymously in a container. I understand the thread - which you mentioned - more as a suggest for a message system with chatmessages, which you didn't receive when you are offline. My idea suggests more acraftable item, on which you can write, like a portable sign.

I had originally wrote Brotherbean (pretty sure that is jorb) about the sign idea. but I didn't know it would end up being too much to make haha. I like the idea of a mail system though I am unsure how it would be implemented. Perhaps all claims have a mailbox type thing?

Except this, too, has been discussed in at least one of the threads on a mail system if not on its own. As I think on it, though, I probably saw it on the Paradox forums.
