Original concern still stands. There are many solutions but in the end it IS harder for noobs to make money and easier for established players. This should of course be the case, but the way things are now inflation might be a real concern. I don't have the numbers though so I'm not going to tell you it is problem.

Actually, people will just need to adjust to the new patch and find a new best way to make money, since the old ways might not work so well anymore.

If anyone interested im looking for slave employees to pan my rubble :p

Numbers are what matters. Do you know how rare silver boulders are?
Established players will always make more money.

You forget that they put in another source of gold eggs in the form of sifting.

Getting water is back-breaking work back in the day for women. I think it is not that hard if you live near water, else, just build up a barrel. One barrel is equal to what 4 buckets?
You thought I quit.

Is it intentional that repairing brick walls now needs 600 bricks for 0 to 100%? i.e., 6 brick per %?
I mean, sure, we can carry more, but 600?
btw, thats an extrapolation, may be 500 or 700...

Upon destroying a certain segment of wall, I've had an agonizing time repairing the splash damage on the two neighboring walls. Seems to be close to 100 granite per wall for the 80% repair cost.

That's how i noticed too, trying to set an extra corner post.

I don't know how hard that would be to do, but maybe walls could not splash if destroyed by owner on pcclaim?

Also, redecorating (i.e. "moving" buildings) in your own mine is impossible without arson since you cannot drop a pcclaim.
I noticed when i tried destroying my finery forge. Placed it too close to a another forge which means the bellows can't be operated.

Of course I'll settle for "it's intentional, lesson learned, take better care next time".

The wall issue seems quite a bit of a grind though.

anfros wrote:While I do love the patch I do have some concerns about the economical impact on the game. This patch has made it easier for old players to get silver, driving inflation which in turns drives up prices while new players will have an even harder time making money since tanning is now a lot more time consuming since water is so hard to carry. Perhaps adding a yoke for water carrying would solve this problem.

I disagree. Newer players can sift rubble, for not only gold which I imagine will still carry a large price tag but also a chance at rare gems which, if rare enough I imagine could change the life of a noob completely.

Also noobs can make an sell glass where a vet might still be inclined to buy it if they deem all that sand digging not worth their time.

Brick wall repairs was not touched this patch. Damaged walls are very material heavy to repair as this is the only 'real' cost to defending against a active raid.

I can't sell itens to npc near the player stalls. Is that a bug?
