easy to implement a system that tics off your stats once a posse combat is initiated(like in the darkness) so that either the posse captures the criminal or the posse gets ko'd/killed

You still have to track in order to create the evidence to make the poster. The alternative is a summoning system that brings a logged out criminal to you how much fun is that for either party?


You don't even have to know where the criminals base is with your system, so you don't have to track anything.."oh I have been robbed, I just collect the scents from my base to get evidence" I prefer the alternative (current) system, because you have to first track where he is and then brake into criminals base and then if you manage to do so summon him, or if he is online fight with him, your system would destroy the tracking and breaking into criminals base (depends how close system would teleport posse) features.

But I still like the jail thing though

I imagine summoning yourself inside a well defended town would have hilarious consequences. Especially with the new combat drain (exceptions, exceptions oh my) stacked on top of the normal claim drain, just do a couple of laps and have yourself a nice massacre.

And I didn't get the part where you can put the poster in your own town. Can there be multiple posters of the same criminal inside multiple towns (ie multiple posses)? If yes, what's the point of limiting the number of posse members? If not, why not just make your own poster before anyone and put it safely in your town?

That would indeed be hilarious to watch, I can imagine their faces, "lets fight the criminal, where are we?, oh crap"
