Plantation Management.
The upkeep on a field now has a ‘floor’ that is based on this skill. All existing fields still have 50% upkeep floors. A field that is growing may be ‘Tended” and doing so will permanently lower the upkeep floor of that field depending on the quality of hoe that was used.

Does this mean fields will get back to 100% upkeep until i can get Plantation Management? And after that what does quality hoe mean? Will the pay one lower it to 50 while the others be a higher number?

Fields can still go to 50%. Iron hoe takes them to 25%. Farmer's hoe (store) one takes them to 20%, provided you have the skill.

Is having the skill required for the 50%? I can't lower my pumpkins back to 50. Turkey **** did nothing and choppings can't even use. It's pretty damn expensive skill to gate upkeep out of completely.

Hmmm... No that shouldn't be the case at all. I'll have to investigate but I was able to lower upkeep on the test server with a field that has not been tended.

My painting is too small :( I was hoping it'd be a whole wall tile wide.

I'd never pass up an opportunity to see your pumpkins.

Do artists get % of sales? I would be happy, if part of money I'm paying went to their bank accounts.

As fun as this sounds, I think it would be more applicable to a formal mechanic over a dev-run one. And it doesn't sound entirely easy.
