It should also be noted that players (if looking to wall in braziers) should leave access as they can run out of ammo.

Yes, I took that into consideration, but it is indeed a fair warning.

--Alt Vaulting--
Players who have their leantos destroyed when they are logged off will find their items will loot pinata on the ground. I have something special planned for the 'existing' alt-vaults that refuse to listen to my warnings to knock it off as well.

This seems unfair. When the world was reset the things that people paid money for were redistributed to players. If you have those in your inventory but don't play the game in its current state you're saying that we lose our investments?

Also
Trial by Combat
Those 14 days are quite crucial as any player may build a "Trial By Combat" against any town/player/claim. This will project a Waste Claim-like shadow under the base. The difference is that this shadow will allow any criminal who now has found that his leanto is under this shadow, can be summoned to his Trial By Combat. Once this has happened, the player may not change his leanto. His options are to show himself to his trial, and fight the 'ranger' in a fight to the death (or mob of rangers). OR he can try to run away, in which the ranger must wait a set duration of time until the Trial is "over" at which point he can force summon the criminal to the trial. The duration of the trial depends on the crime scent that the ranger has in his inventory.

A forced gank. Cool?
That won't make people quit or anything.

Why not make it so both players are transported to the arena for the 1v1?
The person who wants to compete right clicks the trial and signs their name (preferably in blood) and when the timer is up they're both teleported into the arena
Perhaps make a server-wide message to run to the arena when it goes live and both characters are inside

--Ransom--
A player on the ground may offer a Ransom payment to the person who has knocked him out. This payment will be a % of his liquid funds in his bank. IF the player who has knocked him out accepts this ransom, then the player at his mercy will have the funds automatically withdrawn from his bank and given to his attacker and he will be 'sent home'.

How will this work if multiple people are in combat with the person?
They could simply agro you on another character, accept your ransom, and you'll still be in combat except to a different person, meaning you'd stay there

Yep. Best you log on now and leanto them if you care about them.

Ugh. Disgusting.

Fine :ugeek:

Also, if you have no leanto you stay logged in right?
So if I break someone's leanto do they appear where they logged out and stand there?
Or does it start the second you log in without a leanto

Also also, what if I was logged out in Boston?

No. It stops you from logging out. It doesn't log you in.

Can somone clairify the relevance of paying upkeep on personal and town claims. Seems to me that after building one of these fortresses you could just let your upkeeps expire and reap all the same benifits as someone paying the upkeep.

JC mentioned that a player could break your claimstone. Am I correct to believe this means that having your homestead set to your claimstone is now vastly superior to a breakable leanto?
