Thank you.

You wont be able to log him out so he will probably be killed with witchcraft and be looted. You should probably give him a leanto asap.

Yes. Equipment will be lootable or drop upon logout with a Homestead.

Yes, but this not requires 350 С&D.
You can work, sleep etc and 5 biles char can kill you when you are offline because that "skill" cost much cheaper then Cain & Abel.

I think it is a betrayal from the developers side. Salem has always been hardcore game for me with open world and PvP. If you want to be bad guy you must sit 24\7 so as not to be summoned. Raiding loses any sense because i can build alt leanto outside the waste claim and take away all my stuff within the next 24 hours until waste claim gets its act. At this point you will always lose more than get. That means - months of hard work to take biles and murder skill. Result - to be killed by the noob who had just come into play.
I was hoping that the patch will bring the time frame for the protection of the town. Say, 10 hours to defense the town, after that time waste claim will decay. If you have a team and you protect your town you will not to be destroyed. But the raiders get critical hits and not more touch you if you able to resist the allotted time of Defence.
Unfortunately instead we get a completely non-working system of raids and in this world there is no more space for bandits by that reason the game becomes tedious and boring.
If the player not interested the game, he will leave anyway and if player a peaceful farmer he can always logout to safe his char.

So if you want to stop the crimes then do two servers PvP an PvE. But do not spoil the game for different audience of players. Because this patch completely discourages to play in Salem not just for me.

I might've missed this, but are we going to be given a wilderness port for alts that had their leanto decayed so we can port them out of boston?

Hmm... Not something we plan on doing. They will have to just hoof it.

A thought, and I may just be barking up a tree, but it might be useful.

Instead of a fixed size, set it so that it activates to the nearest claim stone (town or personal or whatever it needs). Give it a default size, but in the case of running into the oversized claim to protect from the TbC, it will automatically home in on the claim expanding to the necessary size (in at least that one or two directions). One would need to give limits to it, of course, so people didn't build a Trial halfway across the world to attack a killer (unless the town the killer lived in was that large).

My noobishness at raid mechanics may show here: will the TbC be able to overlap other people's TbC, say a guy is wanted for murdering people from two different towns and they both put these up at the same time to draw out the killer.

now i am also wondering a bit.
what about a chest in a leanto. is that also straight lootable without destroying the leanto? just like the chars inventory is?
if so how can a new player without money and just a lean to ever hope to keep something in his possenssion, like say the money to buy a claim with?
also when they then log on to find their lean to destroyed and they have not the opportunity to build a new one (whatever the reason) they will not be able to log off then and thus unable to keep their stuff?

this makes being able to start as a new player very hard the first few days/weeks imho.
is this intended?

Chest inside leantos have always been loot-able. This will not change that.

but you have to destroy the leanto to oust the chest right?
does that change?
and can you see whats in the chest in the leanto like you can see the inventory of the char without a crime?
