Yes, you won in the server of newbies where you were one of the few to buy from the Salem shop to ensure you got a stall with great location as soon the stalls were released in Jamestown. Rather than fighting in Plymouth, you escaped ;) .

right, except that the most competitive players in the game today and back then were from jamestown, having tangled with all of the various groups at one point or another i am absolutely 1000% confident a random sampling of rune's, cheena's, methuzelahs, ammabrothers, darknachts, mr niceguys and pirates working together would have defeated plymouths tribe or roanokes candy gang without any involvement at all from me.

Yes, some newbies grow up and become competitive. That shouldn't surprise anyone. That they are competitive now doesn't mean that they were competitive when Jamestown was opened and that they were willing to use store to get quick farm, claim and well-positioned stall : ).

No, no you didn't. I would of walked off claim any day of the week with you.

Refer to my signature.

sure, you would have walked off the claim to "duel" me with a character that had 8x my stats, unfortunately for the 6 hours i was fighting 5 of you after throwing queen down a mineshaft you could not land a hit on me, or did you forget that to?

as soon as i had a titan that could breach candy island you all gave up and made peace with me, among giving me cupboards of humus and queens gold chain so i would lift the siege

i am quite happy to see all this ***** posturing though, because i was in a dilemna about how i would tell the story while sugarcoating your parts to not make you look like a raging *******, that is no longer a concern.

three statues in game.

1> for the guy that alone defeated all comers on every server he played (all of them)

2> for a guy on an empty server in the biggest zerg that got bored and ground out a 1k stat character with all of the legacy humus.

3> for a guy on a populated server in the biggest zerg that got bored and ground out a 1k stat character with all of the legacy humus.

I mean how Chief, in massive disadvantage, turned the incident into a massive recruiting campaign to build up his personal army, all while staying true to his roleplaying character and thread. The propaganda machine he ran was impressive.

the majority of them were always on par with the curve, folks evolve yes, but that goes for anyone. at the time i left for jamestown tribe was a gaggle of 70 stat newbs as well just like everyone else, and apparently a year and a half later as evidence by khaz they were just thousand stat newbs.

i also dont understand your problem/fascination with me buying silver, i bought like 5k and purchased exactly one stall, there were 6 or 7 others that did the same. so what?

It is merely a reality check. Unless one bought a farm, claim and stall very early on in Jamestown, one was never ever competitive. This means that your competition was extremely limited. Which goes to the statement that Jamestown was a newbie server: the serious competitive people could be counted on one hand, or even 1 finger. Being proud of a competition where barely anyone participated is funny.

I believe it was GH that did the final nail in the coffin for BTK and got the chief involved

i see, it is quite interesting that my largely empty stalls retained such power.

i thought i did well there because i took chances and killed everyone for 4 months, set up traps to bait in all the other raiders on the server and so on. all this time if i had known i merely needed to buy extra stalls i would have saved myself some time/effort!

(btw, all of the jamestown stalls were snapped up in a few days, plymouth and roanoke had empties for a month+ after launch)

Because jamestown stalls were cheaper than roanokes. Jorb and Loftar experimented by making the stalls with great location very expensive in roa, while making all stalls relatively cheap in Jamestown :P.

Also, location matters. The stalls that people check first have far higher utility than those they check later.
