That won't be enough - it will still allow you to glutton with no debuff at low biles

getting a new char from 5 to 30 is fine for an established player imho :)

But yes, i've argued it before: they're overpowered and badly need a nerf.

Oh not you too !

John already said he's nerfing them, we're mostly just goofing around now XD the fact that everybody has dozens of meat smokers now is probably more then enough evidence for john that they're too strong.

They served the roll for an establish base/player to 'boost' a char. Arguably the 'boost' went too far. They are getting nerfed, maybe it will be enough, maybe it won't. But with the new inheritance system the need to give that little boost is now less.

Do you feel inclined to disclose how much of a nerf? "Club it over the head as a food and leave it bleeding and dying?" "slight nerf", what?

What about the ability to smoke steaks as well as cuts and to use smoked meat in recipes. This widens the range of the values the food gives (and perhaps slightly raises the average). I realise this is a lot more work than just changing the values of the food, but it makes things a lot more interesting and avoids "clubbing it over the head" (but of course it needs a good clubbing too).

I would even smoke slabs if it would be even slightly better.

They should just let us smoke whole animals.

No because the butchering skills will be useless then.
