Inspirationals Inspirational

Postby pistolshrimp » Fri Oct 17, 2014 12:17 am

Not that we don’t have tons of inspirationals already, but here’s some thematically correct inspirationals if devs ever need some ideas. Feel free to add to the list.

Perfect Skipping Stone – Forgeable found only on sand
Boiled Frog – A frog place into a pot and boiled. Would be good for Perennial Philosophy
“The Big One” – A very small fish obtained by chance when fishing
“The One that Got Away” – Obtained by chance when fishing
Warty Toad – Obtained by chance when picking up frogs.
Mummified Squirrel – Obtained when searching duff. Wall mountable.
Spring Shed Antler – Foragable, found in Autumnal and Coniferous forests.
Quiver of Arrows – Craftable, + 2 Feathers + 2 Arrow Heads + 2 Sharped Sticks
Root that ate Roger Williams – Found rarely when digging, can be split/used in place of log, can be slotted. (google it)
Brain in a Jar – Craftable, Jar + Brain + 5L Vegetable Oil
Horseshoe Crab – Obtained by chance nets
Lucky Fishing Lure – Craftable, Any Lure + 1 Fourleaf Clover
Lucky Horse Shoe – Craftable 1 Iron + 1 Fourleaf Clover, requires anvil

I feel like the quiver should require some leather lol. Other than that they look cool :)

Mummified Squirrels would be great.

Here is another that would be fun Squash Bug Infested Pumpkin. Have it be a rare drop off of a pumpkin field that can be studied, probably for F&F, S&C, and NatP, or split into several lesser Infested Pumpkin Flesh inspirations and a couple handfuls of Squash Bugs, a new bug for variable recipes.

lucky rabbit paw ( craftable or drop )
rusty coin - foragable from stumps

mosquito in a resin drop ( with dinosaur DNA  )
bug wrapped in spider net
grasshopper missing left back leg
disoriented bee

abandoned bird nest
mushroom growing on a tree
turtle turned upside down

and the very very ( very ) rare: disoriented bee in a resin drop swallowed by an upside down turtle ( optionally , having a rusty coin, wrapped in spider net, on its tummy ) ¦]

Silver doesn't really rust, but it does tarnish.

We could also have Oak Gall/Apple as a potential source of ink production ingredients, and/or inspirational.

I'm also thinking finding the odd "Squirrel King" in Oak Trees would be interesting.

I like the abandoned bird nest, that's a good one.
