I guess you can do it with high end food and table, but for casual players it's damn near impossible, and they're the ones that need those long debuffs the most. It just feels so wasteful to have my debuff expire like 6 hours before I'm actually going to log in. So I think that we need a food in each category that has high gluttony values and low chances of lowering the food group, but with a downside of adding a lot of time to the debuff. Obviously it'd be inferior to top tier food, but it should be better than the current mid-tier foods if you're only feasting once a day (but worse if you feast twice a day or more).

This is a good point. I used to always overshoot 24 hrs and use the potions to get back to 24hrs. It's nice to have a productive cadence to your gluttony when real life is busy.

Do Pies not serve this function somewhat? You could always hit a few pies at the end of a session to get a few more points you probably couldn't otherwise get at the cost of a larger timer.

You can only have one of each pie, and given their cost (except for ridiculously cheap meat pie) I just don't bother making them at all.

Even @ 4 pies, that would be 20 hours at what would probably give you another 4 points with the pie + modifier. Also I don't think less than 3 cranberry bushes of berries is too demanding for 200+ Humor regen and/or 80-90 glutton points from a single food.

This all being said, I suppose I could try to look through the groups and see if there is another food I could try to shift to high F&F timer.

20 hours for a mere 4 points? And the pie values aren't even high enough to guarantee you a point when you're past the ***** of biles. They're the worst food out there.

Infact, foods are terribly unbalanced right now. Fish is super neglected (All recipes SUCK *****), same with vegetables and bread. Meat recipes are pretty much the only good thing out there at the moment.

More like 30-40 points because by the time you get to the pie you'll have lowered berries with berrysauce bass or other food that has good points/h and low group decrease chance. The virtually guaranteed -80% to group just makes pies too crappy to be a serious candidate.

Yes I am aware, the point was not that they are good points per FF. The point was they were and are a way to increase your biles more than you probably should in a single session at the COST of a longer timer. I can assure you they are a staple in many players diet already who look to push their timer a bit farther when their session is about to end and they feel they have 'room to spare' on the timer.

Right, so I think the void the pies are not filling for you is the higher timer without the cost and direct hit to your food group.

So, as a template:

Base Values:
30-50
Debuff 15% chance to lower 20%.
FF Debuff: 3 Hours

This would make a category of foods that is more efficient than Stage 1 foods from a debuff. Between Stage 2 and Stage 3 foods for values, and 300% worse for your FF timer.

Thoughts?

Yeah, that sounds about right. The main thing is that it doesn't suffer from the pie's problem where it has to be the very last thing to be eaten in it's food group.

I found that most efficient way is -20% at 20% chance food followed by 100% restore food when it drops to 64%. Example: deviled beaver + braised beaver brain.
