The old pots retain aether based on their old purity, and only increase if the harvest is better than the pot, I think. The old pots being null will easily improve with non null humus, and since it's a higher chance to improve at low purity.

Please let me know if you see an issue with old pots. But yes, if the pot and humus are not BOTH higher than the pot then there is a good chance it will not go up.

Thanks for confirming that. I was wondering why some of my pots were going up, and why some weren't

Now might be a good time to share this tidbit with you.

It is our intention to have the purity systems, while being extremely similar, FEEL different. So you are not saying "oh boy, time to grind purity the exact same way I grinded purity on XYZ". For that reason the following things are INTENTIONAL for the very reason they are different.

#1: Field Purity is very random and very difficult as it gets higher. 90% Pure field crops will eventually be much more rare than any of the other purities.

#2: Pot Purity has 0% random factor. It is a pure calculation from humus, plant & pot. EVERY time. It is for the slow and steady grinder.

#3: Mine Purity is the brute force, I must have purity, and I must have it now player. Mine Purity is simply a matter of time investment to get your mind deeper.

#4: Fishing Trap purity is meant to be purchased. Anybody can buy pure cotton, then make a pure trap, and thus making this the only pure structure you could theoretically buy your way to.

#5: Bug Purity is intended to be near instant, simply feed your bug the item, poof he is now that purity.

#6: Meat Purity is intended to be a 'maintenance' thing with the new wear system.

#7: Turkey purity is a bit of a hybrid, as you can certainly buy the turkeys, but it will only get you so far as the coops must still rise.

I'm sure a lot of you guys picked up on it. But I figured I would put it in writing for those who are not sure. We hope to have Purity be a tad bit different on the various things we add it to.
