I like the idea of boat storage in Boston...only thing I'd add to it is that it has to be an empty boat, and to get your boat back you'll need some type of token(given when you deposit the boat) and that item can be stolen so it prevents the "perfectly safe item" thing people always complain about even though they seem to forget storage alts...

I'm with rogoku on this. If you want a personal boat storage near Boston, you can build a small claim, wall it in, lock it, and put a couple of boats there. Also, if you really want forest to forage in that bad, move. The areas near the shores north and south of Boston aren't safe (and that's for a couple of hours each direction).

I've looked at the world map, and where is this "forest near Boston" you speak of?

its south of boston about 5 minutes on boat, and its okay not to like the idea, what i dont like is his rudeness about it. the whole point behind the boat house is that I'd be willing to pay to park at Boston. especially later when big boats get implemented to search for offshore islands

I would rather they sold boats at the Company stalls, so you can just carry it to the water and be on your way.

You could always just build your own harbor outside of Boston along the coast somewhere too...and fyi, I dont think there are any islands out there.

Some pretty big assumptions there when I'm pretty sure multi-server support is the one major thing holding up open beta. I'm not sure on the exact methods to go from colony to colony--devs haven't shared this yet--but I don't think manually navigating it is currently in the plans and extending to the east certainly isn't part of it that I'm aware of.

Sorry to necro ;)

Was looking for information on why my boat disappeared while I was in it and stumbled across this.

I actually like this idea, it would make the coastline a hive of activity, dangers and profitable potential. Additionally it would be a great money sink, and potentially a money maker for the game.

As has been mentioned all storage containers inside the boat must be empty for the boat to be stored (opening up opportunities for mischief as containers were emptied and goods ported home).

1 island has been found and confirmed and it is currently being fortified for a person to live on.
