was this lowered again with this patch? the last patch saw them having much higher blood than that.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Don't think they got nerfed. I'll pay a lot attention to dmg next time i fight one. (they could be 125-150 blood too i guess :P)

Thx for your answers... But it was harder this time than before. It used to take 4 or 5 thrusts to kill a bear before.. But this time it took 11 or 12 thrusts.. Maybe I missed soomething fear factor or imbalance.. I cant remember exactly what happened after 5th blow, which supposed to bring the bear down :P so i began to run away ,wait at engarde and hit , run again :P

We seriously need something along the lines of a Slag Heap for unwanted ore boulders and stones (from cave-ins). I can barely move in my mine it is so full of boulders!

Have you considered chipping them & dropping the result?

I think I found 3 or 4 singing logs and a couple of gourds. I like some of the new additions, but not sure I want to eat bugs... :P Maybe I'm just out of practice, but seems like there was a gap in some of the skills and the inspirationals needed to get them, namely the early hunting skills. Things might have been "balanced" a bit too far away from getting small game hunting in the first couple of hours a little too much, either by the inspirationals available, or points needed to buy.

As far as additions seriously needed, these are more things that need to be brought over from Enders and forks of it: resizable minimap (should probably be a limit on it, though, or not... nothing wrong with opening it to full size of screen if you've explored that much recently); clickable minimap if you're going to have a "radar" for forageables; animals should be on it. I used the wilderness guide and nearly got ran over by a snake hiding behind a tree. Thankfully it decided to aggro a rabbit instead, so i got a couple of snakes and rabbits for no effort other than waiting. Too bad I had forgotten you need skills to get the hides off them and only got meat shreds :(

Also, raw tree nuts can be quite the... laxative, if not outright poisonous. (Same with peanuts, even though it's a legume).

I only quit because my mushroom debuff was getting up there to the point it was hindering me, so thought it was best to take a break overnight and rebuild my inspiration. It was nice getting those first two study skills so quickly.

I was confused about the number on the full and fed up debuff icon, though. Is this the indicator for number of points earned during the session? I didn't keep close track of the points I earned, but the 16 it was at when I logged for the night was about how many points I had earned on my new character. The way I read the rules on it, "per session" should be at one feasting session, or did I read that wrong and it is per log in? If it is the latter, wouldn't that make getting chains really easy by just putting in a really long play session? Would love some clarification on this as I wasn't really focusing on it at the time last night.

I'll definitely be playing some more. I actually felt like I was finding things and chasing from one shiny to the next.

We have the Salem Journal on the horizon that should help explain Gluttony Points, Gluttony Score, and other things a bit more. It sounds like a lot of your issues were still client related which we are fully aware and have on the roadmap to get corrected. I would encourage you to settle down and start building a base as our local play-testing sessions show that players who settle down in the first 3-6 hours of play tend to have the higher retention while players who continue to get sucked into the 'forage' game typically have a far smaller retention score.

Anyways, I'm anxious to hear more, or at what point you lose your interest again. So far I didn't see a lot of server-side game mechanic stuff in your first experience for us to consider. (Don't get me wrong, I consider that a good thing).

While prying face of oysters with a sharpened stick after second one to open stick is disapearing and unless you click on ground (like dropping it) you can use right click option like checking boxes etc. freely. Tried 4 times all same maybe a bug?

Aye, recall seeing that, and you've talked about it a good bit, but not much good in making a great client if there's not a good game to connect to, and the client is usable enough as it is.

I don't mind grind in a game. I played EQ for way too long, played over 4 years in EVE now. With the addition of the inspiration points needed to study and all the other random changes over time, the game just wasn't getting better for me. I've never been very good at putting my thoughts into words, so haven't really posted much on it. To put it succinctly: the grind started to seem pointless, and after about 1-2 years of Haven off and on, things just got boring. I really don't know how else to put it. At least in Haven I could push my stats high enough to see everything there was to see (not that i ever actually did that on any of my characters). I understand you could do the same here, but the foraging was just so sporadic, there wasn't much point, and I've always been an explorer in a game, even if it's looking around the same corner i've looked around a dozen times before. you never know when you'll find something valuable there the next time.

My biggest complaint overall with Salem is the complexity of the skill system. I like depth in skills, but the hoops to jump through to get them here seems like it's overly complex for complexities sake. It's something i can overlook as when you are specializing in a certain area, it's not too hard to just push those few proficiencies.

As far as bases, I seem to be happy with where the guide landed me for now. I played Haven for over two months without ever building a claim, just wandered around looting abandoned areas. I also have done large hermitages that I popped out q90 cheese and q40-60 silk. (As bad as silk was, it wasn't as bad as trying to keep steel crucibles burning... don't know how much charcoal I wasted over the years I played.)
I am a moderator. I moderate stuff. When I do, I write in this color.

I think only newly burnt pots are gaining aether level after each pick right? Because my old pots are still have their base aether lvl, but the ones that a burned after patch are improving. Or is this a bug?
