Great. Another person who thinks she should get the same thing that other people do, despite the fact that she does not commit as much time or effort to the game as those other people. I find this sense of entitlement disgusting, especially in a computer game of all places. I enjoy playing Salem when my RL obligations (including sleep) allow. I do not devote as much time or effort to the game as other people do, and I am often not able to attend community events. Naturally, this means that others will have stuff that I don't. And that's the way it should be.

JohnCarver, I want to thank you for making the effort to do community events like these. They add a nice personal touch (from you and your team), and they are an interesting way to seed new items in the game world. Thank you also for working so hard on the food overhaul.

Every scheduled monthly event has been between 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for most Euro timezones to my knowledge. What exactly are you referring to?

Is radish a common drop from these pies, though?

Nope.

Although they are common enough that I"m sure it will be short order that they flood the market.

Is there any plans to add purity to active fishing? Or even any plans to improve the whole fishing system? It's really inferior in every way to traps now.

Yes, our original plan was to add fishing hooks which have purity based on the metal, which in turn push purity to the bait and also the fish caught. This was another item that we had to cut to keep schedule. I decided it was an acceptable loss given that I know very few players who prefer the fishing system over the traps themselves.

I have yet to see a game where the fishing system is loved, so I have no grand illusions that whatever system we come up with for fishing would be astronomically better than what we have now. For the time being, with 11 other food groups, and traps for those who don't like it, the fishing system remains low priority.

Well, most games where I've seen fishing seem to be made by people that don't fish. Do you? If not, I recommend you read Dame Juliana Berner's Treatyse of fysshynge wyth an Angle for period-appropriate information on fishing. Here's an excerpt on the variable involved:
IF ye wyl be crafty in angling, ye must first learne to make your harneys, that is to wete your rod, your lines of diuers colours, after that you must know how ye shall angle, in what place of the water, how depe and what time of the daye, for what maner of fysshe, in what wether, how many impedimentes there bene of fysshyng that is called anglyng, and in specially wyth what baytes to euery dyuers fyshhe, in euery moneth of the yeare[.] How ye shall make your baytes breed, where ye shal finde them, and how ye shall fynd them, and how ye shall kepe them and for the moost crafty thyng, how you shall make your hookes of stele and of osmonde. Some for the dub and some for the flote on the ground.
