You use the influx of nice things as a way to cleverly demand more nice things. I am on to you.

As interesting as that all sounds. Is it really better than simply increasing the original inventory space and/or providing more pockets and/or making a bigger backpack?

I think before I can make any real progress here I would want a better grip on what is acceptable on inventory space in general. How many extra spaces are you expecting these bags and/or station add-ons to have?

Station add-ons - at least 15 slots I think, if only to keep extra cabbage heads and have space to put finished products. Having different size addons, up to 40 slots or so would be great too.
As for the inventory space - often there was this argument used where deciding what to keep and what to throw away is part of the game. And I agree with that. But there are also things which are very common and you need them in bulk, namely grass, mushrooms, other herbs. These are not stackable and you fill the iventory very quickly. I think bags should have at least 25 slots. You could even have them take backpack's place which would mean sacrificing 8 inventory slots for 25 slots for specific goods.

And out of curiosity. Do you feel this is a noobie problem? Or a veteran problem? How difficult should these forage-extensions be to get your hands on?

I think it's a more veteran problem because:

1. Noobies have small bases, or no walls at the beginning, so going in and out of base isn't that big hassle
2. Noobies with lower biles can eat more simple foods and less of them. So they don't need a lot of those foragables
3. Noobies don't have that many other things to do when they start, so they can spend more time foraging. Established players have fields and pots to tend to, turkeys to feed, animals to hunt, timber piles to make, metals to smelt and so on. As player advances he gains more options so I think it should be natural that he gets also options to be more efficient at those simple tasks.

As for how difficult the bags should be... For example 2 sea islands cloths, 2 indian cloths, 2 spider silks cloths?

I see an application for fine leather.
Backpacks should be made out of leather, after all. Who can expect cotton to hold a decent load?
I think I do prefer the targeted-inventory more though. Mushibags (you even have the invent graphic already!), portable meatlockers, ... Allowing you to swap general inventory for a larger size of restricted inventory.

Bjebr , still at 30

there must go some hidden holdout where I haven't tried to put one. Out of sea island right now, though :( I have planned up to 35 for now.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Let some things stack to 5 or something, I agree space is limited.

Space is OP, he should limit more to prevent the massive alt vaulting.

I think there will be other measures to limit alt vaulting. At least vaulting in Boston

IMO crafting stations should have huge inventories. For example, it should be possible to attach a whole barrel to a baking table, so you don't have to fill up half your inventory with buckets of water.

It should be possible to lift the barrel and fill it in one round.

In other news, Biddas just rekt the gluttony charts. Damn, so much for the rest of us getting on there anytime soon xD

Edit : Inb4 they discovered how to bust turtles open, and he's been eating turtle soup for all those points!!
