No, if you boil birch bark then water turns into tanning fluid. It's been like this since february. Boiling bark is just an alternative way of making tanning fluid

In reference to the whole ... inspirational issue. The one complaint I can put forward, and the one undesirable effect that will make long grinds unfun, is the fact that there is now a cap past which you only spam 1 inspirational. I haven't done the math to check wether this cap is actually reachable, but I am going to assume that for lucky it is, in fact I'll check it before submitting.

Indeed, with the available curios on the wiki, the second most efficient law and lore inspirational becomes less efficient on its 2nd use than lather on its 5th. So obviously, spam all available ones once, as long as they're over 0.166 efficiency to begin with, then spam lather foreverrrrrr.

Heck, half the existing list isn't as efficient on the first use as lather on its 5th(capped) use. So the issue now is, that with more and more expensive skills adding in, the game will become who can spam more soap, who can spam more brains, and so on. As long as you think that's a fun mechanic all in all, then I guess it's "working as intended". But you just know people will take the path of least resistence, and if that's spamming brains then oh god will it be a boring grindfest, the kind I assume you want to keep out, to keep the game refreshing and non-repetitive where possible.

Once again I see people ***** over the patch that is only a couple days old. What the ***** is wrong with all of you. All you need to do is work hard to figure out the new systems. If you took all the time you put in to ***** to figure out the new systems, you would be well on your way. A little tip: this game is not suppose to be easy. Be happy we now have a game developing into something amazing.

lol the "system" is not anymore complex than the previous system therefore not in need of any "figuring out", in fact it is far more simple and easier than all previous gluttony mechanics. it simply sucks due to its tedium of having to eat a far greater variety of **** that requires a far greater number and variety of **** to make. this combined with the small purity bonus is why the patch is **** and it does not take longer than about fifteen minutes of looking through the different recipes for anyone to see that.

the patch was another major negative for non zerg players without someone like biddas to do all their work for them and has magnified the time investment required to advance several fold. in a game that was already widely considered a grind.

once again, as i stated previously the dangling carrot syndrome is coming to the forefront. this patch simply took mechanics that were largely fine, shuffled them up and **** out a version that is a much larger timesink while adding relatively little in the way of actual new content.

It looks like the patch made advancement much easier in the beginning and much harder, or rather requiring a lot more effort, later.

I still need to get advanced cooking to check the best recipes, but my legacy goldtilla looks promising - 65 humours with 1h cooldown.

I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Nope - I had a few legacy goldtillas as well and was pretty happy about those. Then I got advanced cooking ...

Windy pooh now requires one of those rare bear hearts.
