You do realize that if an inspirational had purity, it simply gave more points, which in turn took more black bile and more inspiration right? Not having purity on inspirationals only increased the number of inspirations you need to study. It had no effect on the black bile used or the inspiration used.
It had. At higher proficiency levels, without pure inspirationals you had to start repeating them earlier, which in turn meant higher inspiration use. Also, it's hard to maintain good efficiency if you use many inspirationals. You could start with a very efficicient one (like 30-40% of inspiration going to specific proficiency) and then going down to 20%, 15% etc. With pure inspirationals you could save yourself from using the less efficient ones.

So you got 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc etc. That would get folks using and seeing the result immediately and even at low levels and increase the interest in pushing for better sessions.
We strongly considered this. In the end we felt that this instead encouraged players to 'end' their session whenever they wanted as there was no milestone to cross. Now, if you end a session at 10 points or 20 points, you feel quite dirty knowing the bonus was right there for you to capitalize, and might readjust your strategy and remaining food after taking this into consideration.[/quote]
I still like Impaler's idea. It seems more... elegant and less gimmicky
