I believe in the government of Democracy. We will one day have our independence. Even if it means tarring and feathering each tax collector we come across!

Surely we shall pay no taxes to a king who holds no sway over our lands. We are free men!

Everyone can be as independent as they wish. Live on your own etc etc, as long as when the time comes, paying your taxes promptly will ensure your long sought after safety in the new world.

Your independence comes at a cost. Nothing is free.

Taxes ensure you stay independent.

This is just another very very good reason to be a member of the MM Tribe. As a tribal nation we are not subject to the white man's taxes.

You make a convincing argument, but I fled the continent to get away from leaders and live a life of freedom. Having a "chief" sounds just a demanding as paying tribute to the kings of the Old World.

The New World is large enough for multiple nations, the King can only handle as much as his servants can accomplish.

Be aware if we do come across your lands.
