We don't have any intention on increasing the power-curve of inspirationals to adjust for the lack of multiplier.

We do intend to listen very closely to your tears. WE did design these skill values assuming 0% purity, and it is the reason we have been adding a generous amount of 2,000 point inspirationals with each patch.

That'll make for the ever present legacy crafters issue, i guess, but other than that concern you'll find my personal tear ducts sealed shut xD I'll make some extra effort until the patch, but whatever comes next will just be a new game entirely, as has been with most of your content updates. Looking at it that way, with the current-day game being what I consider to be "the game", there's little nostalgia to be had for mechanics of days past :P It is what it is, and i'm sure it'll be fun enough, will just have to decode the new gluttony mechanics and spam a BB-crazy crafter char.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

Yes there will be a bit of an issue with 'legacy crafters' but the true bottle neck with crafters is inspiration and potions is it not? Sure they might have used 'less' inspirationals than guy XYZ, but i has been my experience that Inspiration grinding takes more time than inspirational finding.

This is the situation for me currently, I have been grinding thread and needle and save for 1 or 2 inspirational's everything is 0% purity and the part stopping the grind most of the time is making the IP pots. I have sheds of inspiritionals, but for me to level 2 points takes 10 items and wipes out 100k ip at least. Some purity goods are ok for say L&L or mining/C&D, but in my experience high purity items cost too much to use for very little gain for when you are specializing in one area. IMO id be happy with a ton of different 0% inspiritionals you have to gather together to level efficiently.

What about my beloved trees though?

Are they going to be wiped of their purity? Should I stop investing time and effort to raise them higher?

Trees have not been wiped yet on the test server. Although, there is also nothing to do with that purity lumber at the moment. Trees are now only used thus far for their purity when collecting nuts.

That just means that we can grind tree purity for fun with out worrying about them having to be of high purity.
