Yes. Hence why I said a group of players would need to coordinate the ambush.

It must be very powerfull group to do this.if you saw like Darwoth did good damage at event,an you think after everybody can kill other players with a guns, should i tell you about small arena area?

I;m old Salem player. I'm thinking about returning to the game. I know that we have new devs and LOTs of changes, which is usually good thing. But before that, could you answer me few questions?

1. Any major changes in defence/raiding? Can hermits live and play, or they will be most likely hunted by Tribe, or other ruling city? Same goes for small villages.
2. Do Tribe still exist? Actually I left game coz of it. Not really a great experience iin game like this (perma death) and old defence system.
3. Fresh vs old character gap - how hard it is to catch up? Is it possible?

Thank you for answers.

Lot's of posts are hidden... must be lots of enemies

1. Hermitage is possible; but with the advent of professions- you need to be either a little kid (who doesn't go to school), a retiree (who doesn't work) or independently wealthy (again no work) in order to have the time to be everything. Personally- I call the last patch "Death of the Solo Player" with cause. If you fit one of the above categories and have the time... you can do quite well... otherwise you're *****.

2. They do exist but they hug Boston for the most part. You can find them all over the map; but the farther out into darkness you go... ie... the bigger effort they have to make to raid you... the better off you are. Horse rentals means you have to be very, very far out... or on a plateau or something to avoid being their target. Tribe or other- most of the fighting is closer to Boston. (Should note that purity ore is mostly around Boston... so while you can be essentially safe in deep darkness... your ore quality is pathetic <20% through 150 MM... while you could find 75+ easy at 50 MM close to Boston)

3. It's much easier to catch up with the advent of potions that reduce timers. The bigger one's are harder to make; but you can hit 100 biles in 10 days or so with effort and dedication... see #1.

You're being awfully cynical. I play 2 hours a day at the most. I often play less or not at all, yet I have managed to get a number of the new skills. I have as many of them as I actually want, at least. If there's anything I want that I don't have the skill to get, there are any number of threads in Tradewinds selling low difficulty clothes, advanced hats, fine leather, all those things. It is entirely possible to hermit, it just requires a bit more cooperation than it used to and that's not a bad thing.
