This is not the case. It is actually the case that makeshift fence hit points were reduced. and your fences had decayed at one point in time in the past. You are now able to see the red only because the fence has less total HP.

made some testings and here it is why polearms requirements are way too high for nothing special
1)you unlock punch and clubbing worst dammage in the game
2)you unlock stomp/roundhouse kick and other cool moves decent damage with that roundhouse kick 5dmg+stomp for really nice effects
3)you unlock thrust easy to get and a really good damage skill
then you see Polearms and you think uuuu maybe some weapons that do a lot of damage and you at last get it and surpriiiiseee your thrust do like 2 or 3 times more damage than cleave does you go down again so you buy a skill that requires 6500 cloak and dagger to do the same thing and have the same damage for a skill that you unlock in your first day of playing,

Edit: my frustration comes from this thing and i want everyone to understand it before they do replyes like the one underneath me

I use the sword at 9 yb my thrust still does 6 damage then i follow up with a roundhouse kick for 11 damage at 49 yb my thrust does around 13 damage with some gear ofk but my point is while you use a halberd you cant use thrust you can use only that cleave so why should i use it ? when i have a sword equiped i can fight until my yb drains completely because i do a thrust for insane damage then i go with roundhouse kick yes i get it it has a "slightly" small aoe but for god sake is the same effect and same damage and you unlock it for like 900 cloack and dagger

So this should be revised either allow thrust while helberd is equiped or make that useless cleave skill scale with yb with the lower damage beying 5

Cleave does AoE damage and should be useful in uneven group fights.
