He bugged his way back out. However, its important to note that had he failed, I would have restored him as he would have been a victim to the same bug that claimed the first victim.

I thought he pre warned you before even coming to the town, but if that is not the case, it was a merely a cry for help, and you should smite him.
I was fine with just the restoration of suffs characters, but this is an outrage, he clearly only reported it to save his own life. Because we surely would have descended upon him like a pack of wolves if he was truly stuck there.
It was reported to me when he was able to get in. By the time I reacted, they had made the decision to act on eliminating the threat inside the walls. If he was reasonably assuming he was dead anyway, which I imagine he was, then I can see how he would have wanted to take a 'rebel' down with him. Either way, both parties reported the bug within moments of finding it. That bug was significant enough that no loss of life should occur as a result of it. Pretty simple to me.
