Quite the contrary, Gold is actually one of the most reliable renewable resources in the game now. Anybody who assumes we are making decisions first on how it will effect our income, and secondly on how it will effect the game, is seriously underestimating our passion for the project.

Also I believe that is called a subtle warning. We don't like the idea that towns are considered "Mandatory". But eliminating waste-claims themselves would make a town much less mandatory. The real question here, is how safe should the average player of Salem be allowed to be?

Do you need pockets to craft the gold bars?
Or do the golden eggs stack, since, yknow, you need 25 to make a gold bar.
Thats 1 more than an inventory with a backpack.

They do not stack. I found it to be a great source of tears if you needed a pocket to craft one.

Potjeh wrote:Anyhow, I think you should avoid messing with waste claim until you've implemented all that stuff about not erasing a base overnight. When that's done, I'd agree with removing waste claims, because they just feel too gamey. But since that might be a while, why not turn back on an already implemented feature?

Well I'm trying to avoid using our time implementing things that we anticipate to be useless in the future or no longer applicable. I suppose there is an argument that a small investment of time into giving Pclaims similar waste claim protections until we do adjust the difficultly up on completely trashing a base. But yeah, this is the slippery slope we always get in. Any one change really requires an adjustment to another system, etc. etc. So we do feel confident we shouldn't open this can of worms until we can do it right.

You evil bastard.

Also, since you can find fertile turkeys in the wilderness, can chicks that hatch also become one?
Or are they wildfound only?

Is everything in the game of Salem to you just a Boolean to turn it back on again?

I can assure you its a tad bit more tricky than that. But I won't argue its all that difficult, just I tend to watch our development hours like a hawk.

You still find plenty of time to post on the forums though.

Well, I assume Loftar just commented out a line of code rather than deleted the whole Subtle Warning thing. And yeah, set a bool for waste claim requirements to false ¦]

I do tend to value community interaction and communication a bit higher than is probably necessary. But I would rather error on an over-informed community than an under-informed one.
