I see a lot of pay-to-win comments but I don't think that's even necessary. If anything I think glass should be 400 silver and bottles 150 silver each. Without spiders it is still pretty darn easy to make silver. And if you're lazy just buy some from the store. Everyone probably has a hoard of silver which needs some spending, I know I did.

I think it's fine the way it is.

At the current costs newbies can skip a day of cooldown here and there and the longer time players can shorten their timers a bit. But at higher biles timers will easily be high enough to make cancelling them out entirely very, very expensive.

As in hit u with the stomp, or just agro u?
Horses are 2 fast to get hit with stomp i guess.

I think I had to actually get "hit", but not that sure. I was too busy running away. However, this could be a problem as when I am in the town riding my horse like a baws(which I am), anyone can hit me with a sling shot I guess or I could be trying to buy something from the stall and someone could sneak up on me. fancy losing a horse worth 225 for that. :|

Horses are not made for you to keep fair lad, but indeed for me and others to snatch them from idle or unsuspecting people. I have already stolen at least 3 from boston (thankfully they leave no scents) but rather annoying for you to just fall off while I gittyup on your ride.

People will be much more cautious in Boston while afk on a horse, or risk loosing said 225 silver very quickly.

I also think JC intended them to not last long since they go poof if you leave the minimap they are on. or log off.

Or you can just hang out by the horse shop and mount one when someone pays for it, before they do, works too lol

Just so you know. Dismounting players for combat relations is very much intentional. If you are NOT in town, you get a 50/50 chance on hitting either the player, OR the horse. Hitting the horse dismounts the player. When you are in town, you are obviously only able to hit the horse as dmg to the player doesn't register.

yeah I figured as much that the dismount thing was intentional. However, the dismount feature is there so that players can bring each other down and engage in combat. But since the town is technically a safe spot (for players),(no combat) I thought the dismount feature would be disabled in there. That is why I was pointing it out. But hey if that was your intention, cool. Not that hard to outrun slow moving peasants. :)

splash is, what, like two years old? You want to look into brazier clustering behaviour if you still consider splash a new mechanic.

Splash is only a year and half old isn't it? January of 2012 if I remember right. Anyways, most people have zero experience with it unless they're trying to fix a wall.

At the current costs newbies can skip a day of cooldown here and there and the longer time players can shorten their timers a bit. But at higher biles timers will easily be high enough to make cancelling them out entirely very, very expensive.

The problem is that the tribe will be buying thousands and thousands of panes of glass now to get those timers down. I haven't tried it yet but someone else posted that one lowered it 8 hours which seems like a lot. If that time is correct then a 200 stat guy could basically eliminate their gluttony timer with a couple of them and you'd be well over 400 before you're drinking 10 of them at a time.

The main problem I have with this mechanic is that it basically doesn't really help new players who won't be able to afford it, but it does help the no-lifers who want to push to 1000. The main group of people it helps I'll admit is the established town or person who loses a 400-500 stat guy but then wants to keep playing and push a 100-200 guy back up quick. Biddas will be buying and making thousands of these things to help them glutton past 500 while the rest of us won't bother.

Who? Those Russian guys? I thought they were all under 500.

We'll see, maybe it's a happy medium but I bet we see a 500 stat unkillable player by the end of September.

I will take this bet. Lets discuss terms.

If I'm right, and there is no 500 stat unkillable character by the end of September. You will agree to put on ANOTHER cursed article of clothing.

If you are right. I will remove your hat.

Do we have a deal?

I still haven't heard an answer to this bet you made Chief.

Is this the only way for me to get my main merchant from being permanently un-nerfed by you? If so I'll try and get a character or a friend's character up to 500 by the end of September. Do you really think nobody will get to 500 with the new mechanics?
