If I remember correctly, this game is Free, thus, you haven't actually paid for anything. The devs have no obligation whatsoever to you, they can, literally, do whatever the ***** they want. Its their Sandpit and if they wanna knock your sandcastle over, they have every right to do so. Sure you can be mad about it and refuse to eat your soup, but that's about it.

The hat has apparently made it difficult or impossible for that player to enjoy Salem using a widely adopted third party client. So far, the dev has suggested that the player in question can do his business on the default client. That's fine, but I would like to know if this behavior will continue or if it is something that the devs wish to avoid. It is a valid question.

I'm pretty sure the devs are taking exception to Claeyt's case because Claeyt is being a Claeyt. If this were any other human being that reacted normally, the issue would've been resolved. However: this still appears, from what I've gathered, to be an issue Kandarim needs to fix. Not JohnCarver.

Why would any dev of any game punish players in-game for forum disagreements? They should be above the game and if they wanted to punish our forum behavior then they should simply clip our posts and ban our accounts for whatever amount of time they think is fair.

The forum and the game are deeply intertwined. One cannot exist without the other. As in, if you act like a **** on the forum, folks will murder your ass ingame.
