A private message is still part of the forums. The picture was posted to the private message without the owner's consent. Despite the fact that the message was sent with obvious ill intent, it would have warranted a ban if it was posted with a compliment.


Edit: The point of the internet for a lot of people is anonymity. It isn't alright that they should feel uncomfortable because they think someone might know something about them that could cause problems.

I don't believe that picture was publicly available. It doesn't matter that it was a private communication. If i sent you a picture of yourself and you were unsure of how I had gotten it wouldn't that make you feel uncomfortable? If they had a picture they could plausibly know where he lives. It isn't alright to make someone fear for their real life safety to any degree.

You spelled publicly wrong.

The rules as I read them state public information revealed by person themselves is fair game. If that picture was grabbed from a Facebook account created under the same persona as used in the forums, it'd be open season. But grabbing photographs from someone's Facebook account under their real-life name and then parading them in front of the supposed-to-be anonymous person here is, in fact, a malicious act. There's no legitimate purpose for this other than "I've been trying to track you down and I know you who are."

I turn it back to you for your response, which I assume will rely on either a four-letter expletive or a genitalia reference.

I can't talk of Claeyt's pessimism; but I can say that I haven't been assaulted by Tribe racism since Dev's announced their take over.

I'm been ready to record it; but they won't oblige... save area chat... and that's easy to ignore.

I can wait... they will get over-confident... or drunk eventually... it will all add up in the end.

Just so everone's clear here.

The Chief stated that he would do this exact thing to me last world. This confirms to me that he actually bought the game. There's plenty of evidence that he didn't (sab and magic still mods, new forum rules) but stuff like this keeps happening and with the MM name, the weird secret website of their's, and some other stuff I can't post here on the forum, I think we can call it for what it is. MM bought the game and it's all their's now.
