It only takes a cursory forum check to see how I tried to give it back to him over the last 9 months. I've had the account for 9 months now and although I would have given it back to him, now I don't want to. He's being an idiot this world and just because somebody's trolling him doesn't mean he gets the account banned.

Yeah right. Just read the forums. He gave it to me when he quit. He was gone a month. I offered to give it back to him 4 or 5 times here on the forum and he always said no.

I didn't steal anything. SeaTribe has let me "own" it for 9 months. There are many, many examples of fake accounts and given accounts being used here on the forum. Just because this person was able to troll the tribe, now you guys are going to QQ all over the place.

The actions taken in the past became void when ownership of the game was transferred over to the new developers. The EULA will need to be updated to hold the new developer's name; weather they update it now or in the future is up to them. It is up to them. Unless they are going by, and not calling past EULA actions nullified and void, the old EULA to this date this would apply for the idiots who did not care to read it:

§8 - ADDITIONAL SERVICES
J. End User agrees to take appropriate measures to ensure the
safety of its account in the Game and passwords and to prevent
unauthorized use of these by a third party. If End User has
reason to believe that third parties have obtained such
information or can obtain it, End User shall immediately inform
Seatribe and change their data. Unauthorized access by any third
parties to End User’s personal information, account and in-game
currency account in the Game is strictly forbidden. End User
agrees and acknowledges that he/she shall not sell, transfer or
give its account, in-game currency account or personal
information to any third parties.

In other words ditch the account to be safe,

Technically we're playing under NO EULA right now and you're right, I hadn't thought of that, they will have to put their names on the EULA won't they.

There have been many, many accounts transferred between players. See: 'Realak'. Sometimes it's a town account. Sometimes it's a gluttony feeding timer account. Sometimes it's just a player giving another player his account. The Old Dev's stated that 1: unless it was reported as stolen, 2: It was used maliciously by someone other than the owner and 3: It belonged to whoever's email was on it at the present time, then they were fine with it.

On the contrary, we do care. Statements have been taken from both parties, other information has been gathered, the Biddas account has been temporarily banned because this issue of who the account should belong to needs to be settled, not because it broke any forum rule.

John Carver will make the decision on what should be done, and that will regrettably be postponed a few days until he has the time to look at it.

Until then, arguing about it won't actually affect the decision and is off-topic for this thread, though I suppose you may create a new thread about it if you are inspired to do so.

No, you agreed to the TOS when first downloaded Salem, MM now owns Salem and the TOS there of.

You known-ling used an account you had no right to. No different than accepting stolen goods. It doesn't matter if Biddas "gave" you the account, he didn't have the right to give it away.

The only moderation I've done in this is to suspend the forum permissions of the Biddas account for now, and it is now out of my hands.
