Not necessary. EVE shows, that PvP and PvE can coexist in one world.

Not only that, the two player bases often mix and combine in interesting ways.
High end empire missions (pve missions) often send you to unstable systems where pirate players can attack you at the expense of their security record. High end asteroid miners and haulers often hire player groups as escort to deliver resources in low security systems. And last but not least, every pvper returns in empire space to enjoy the economic hub.

I'm soo biased..
I was lucky...

What are your plans on bug abuse and bug abuse compensation? Loftar and Jorb always handled it poorly, usually fixing the bug after a town was destroyed and just shrugging their shoulders at you being out a town and months of work.

Will you follow the same path?

Bug abuse will be disciplined in extreme cases only. The current party a player to wreck their base for example, could arguably be a 'feature' as there are particular times where a town member may want to have a friend work on his claim with him and as such wishes to give permissions through the party system in lieu of adding and then remembering to remove this person. In the current state, I would also consider it a bug as the mechanic is far too generous and loose in the permissions as well. In this example, we will work towards finding a solution and drink from your tears just as SeaTribe did until we do.

Duping, however, we would consider a different story. If a duping bug were to come available, and we were to find individuals replicating hundreds of items through it those players would be disciplined immediately.

As for reimbursement. if a player dies to the former example. Again, tears harvesting time. If a player dies to some situation where he is summoned killed without a scent or some other harsh unexpected bug we will do our best to restore characters effects, if the bug was sweeping enough, rolling back the entire server.

As for rollbacks on patches, that would not effect characters and bases and I used the wrong term in an earlier post. A rollback to a patch was referenced simply to mean we expect to implement something eventually that we, and you, do not like. At which point we plan on patching again simply to undo the last change.

Already Responded. In the future, please know that alerting me to the presence of a PM will not increase the speed in which I respond to it. So, please lets refrain from making forums a common place to double up the duty already served by your inbox.

Holy ****, the seasonal stuff is brilliant. What would be even better was if it was in real time - in November, small flakes of snow start falling, in December, the ground is completely white. Adding special encounters which only appear during specific seasons, such as Yetis during winter, would also be a great addition.
