Selling the game or a percentage of it to individuals with the work ethics and development vision to see it become successful would be the best thing for Salem. If you love something, sometimes you must let it go. Unfortunately for us, I believe the Developers love the torture and tears from abusing Salem more than the promise of a successful version of it.

You are very wrong. It's way to big in its current state.

I was going to write out some examples why, but you are just going to disagree with me to disagree. Everyone seems to think Tribe wants things a certain way to benefit the Tribe(especially Jorb/loftar) so most of the changes we suggest just gets tossed aside or people just immediately disagree with us. But that's not the case we want people to play the game so that it's more fun for everyone. It's really dumb when It's basically just us.

Any Haven vets want to comment on how the Salem map compares to the Haven map sizewise?

I read Darwoths reasoning on why the map is too big and found his concerns legitimate. I didn't consider the problems insurmountable and additionally, when we eventually start seeing updates again, I'm guessing it won't be long before we get better modes of transportation.

It's my personal opinion that making so much noise about map size is detrimental, as there are other things which would make the Salem gameplay experience much more pleasurable than it is currently.

That list of priorities, in my mind, involves siege mechanics, combat mechanics and productive things to do in between gluttony sessions. Not that it matters, as the mods are likely to update what they feel like updating, when they feel like updating it.

When I'm not trolling I can participate in reasonable debate, so I'm interested in your reasons why the map size should be a high priority. I of course play the game quite differently to most of the tribe, so alternate perspectives are interesting. I won't buy into Peeps trolling though,

Haven also has massive river systems, the ability to travel to village idols, and crossroads.

Wow, Seriously Chief?! You don't at all see the irony of this post?!?! When it was only the Plymouth server you killed new player, after new player, only to post them on the forum for lolz. Then two other servers opened up and Plymouth's numbers dropped to the single digits. When Providence Server went up, your home server was ALWAYS the least populated out of the three. You and the handful of people you play with not only alienate new players from sticking around with this game, but also remove formed groups when you destroy settlements that take considerable time to build. You and your friends permanently leaving this game is what would be the best thing for Salem. There is a direct correlation with people playing with you on their server and them quitting Salem. So if you as an individual want to see Salem flourish, then take your own advice and leave. The game statistically would be doing better if MM wasn't around.

That all being said, you guys have done nothing wrong other then playing the game to it's fullest potential.

I think it's time to realise that nobody wants to play with the tribe...

I actually find it funny that Salem players complain about map size, because in Haven it's completely opposite. Most of HnH players I know would like to see map even bigger than it is now. And half of Haven community would like to see teleport system as it is removed. Apparently being able to get everywhere fast is not that fun as you imagine, so be careful with your wishes.

The biggest problem is there is no fast way of travel. You are stuck with how much food you bring and the travel mode. Haven there are very long stretching river systems for fast travel and finding great study. Haven has the drinking system but that is also a problem. A few buckets of high q water and you can travel the map and get away from any fight.

There is also crossroads but I HATE crossroads. They should only be able to use on your own single vclaim for entering and leaving the village.
