Even if it'll work, all what we'll get in outcome is few newbies, who will get themself killed in a week and make a rage-quit.

All population Salem has at this moment is it's old players, who played before wipe or even from CBT. About 30% of this population are multilogged alt-chars.

Sure there are only a few players that wil stick to this game, but a decent review never hurts :) I think the bigger problem why new players would leave is that some players forumtrolls with over 6k posts cant keep their toxic posts limited to HoB.

Just report Dallane's off topic toxic posts. Tell the mod's to move it to the Dallane vs Claeyt thread.

the population tanking exactly on schedule for the exact reasons i said it would is why i have not bothered to waste more of my time on the more tedious aspects of the game, because at this point with the population like it is, the map retardedly large and a myriad of completely broken game mechanics with virtually zero "new" anything another wipe is inevitable and probably sooner than we think.

for the last week on average the playerbase has been 30 - 40 players lower than equivalent totals pre wipe.

I'm more inclined to say there were no fun updates lately and instead we got tough gluttony and the inability to raid.

Map size isn't game breaking.

Map size is actually a plus. I blame it on repetition, lack of content, lack of devs saying anything in that order.

Anyway, Salem needs map and mechanics re-work:

- "one layer" world, which makes impossible to build briges and other "over-layer" stuff;

- "one layer" mines - they are not mines at all;

- separated mini-maps of mines, houses - which makes impossible to dig caves and underground passages.

All this look ugly - even in compare to H&H - and making such things will need a wipe. Without them the game will never be "complete" enough to play it for real. I will not talk here about many "broken" or "good-for-nothing" things - it was told enough about them before.
