Well, we should be used to by now to the devs abandoning a half-finished project just to start a new one which they will inevitably abandoned when it's half finished.

I think you are going a bit too far with the drama. It has always been like that with Seatribe games - huge spike at the beginning of the server and slow decline with time.

It's not a standard theme park MMO where you get content patches regularly. Salem, being a sandbox, should be playable for a long time even without any updates. For Haven it works, in Salem not so much but oh well...

Hardcore PvP games usually don't have high player retention anyway

I couldn't agree more. The devs don't like/want to implement nice or fun things. They like to update with mean things like poisonous mushrooms and mine cave-ins. But then again that's why it's kinda a hardcore game. The lack of updates is what lowers sever population.

yeah this is terrible. population just keeps falling and falling. I keep hearing from other people who have played actively for a long time that they're enjoying it less, playing less etc. we'll probably be lucky to keep an average of 30 people in the long term, unless the major problems are addressed.

I think it would get quite interesting if the braziers would get nerfed. How about some where in between where they were in the old world and where the are now. The raiders would be happy and the casual player could still have a village with good defenses. The server stats would increase with this change because both types of players would return.

Hey morons if you want to blame anyone blame the idiots that turned this game in to their own personal playground/concentration camp. Charging people simply for playing and **** and owning them if they don't comply??? ***** outta here.

They can't raid a base with braziers, and they won't be able to do it for months. The blame lies squarely on lack of updates here.

Fine at least for now that may be true but what about afterwards should things return to a relatively normal state? Plus they still successfully manage to root out many newbies on a daily basis from what I see.

We have an exploit for that, very stupid mistakes by the devs :D
