Make things harder for spy...

With current siege mechanic it is spy paradise... but imo it shouldn't be like that.

Larceny/Waste/Murder on town claim should be not allowed for town members, so bashing my leanto would be not possible for spy.
If I got KO town members shouldn't be able to take my items or murder me.

Ok, but spy can open gates... true, but braziers can block that,
if larceny or murder used on KO'd town member would trigger braziers just like waste does, even oppened gates shouldn't be problem?

EDIT: or disable larceny and murder on characters KO'd on town claims if there is no active waste-claim-totem.

If I'm reading this right, you'd need to put up a waste claim to murder town members, if you find out they are a spy, or a general jackass for that matter? I suppose the mayor would have the right to murder without it?

Mayor can take away membership from spy and murder him or drop personal claim on his leanto and destroy it (that would make spy to port in providence after login?).

The problem with this is that taking anything from any container or picking up an inspirational from the ground are both larceny. You can't remove that as a permission for citizens, or they won't be able to do anything in your town but wander around.

Waste includes lighting fires and building things as well as destroying. So, not being able to waste isn't quite as bad as not being able to larceny in the town, but it's still pretty bad.

It would be nice, though, if we had town permissions for 'build' and for 'destroy' that could be given out to members or taken away. Lacking the ability to destroy would prevent quite a few problems from malicious spies when combined with people locking their private containers. Lacking the ability to build would prevent mischief like getting your house door blocked with a kiln because someone was bored. :lol:

I dont think any measures are necessary to 'make things harder for a spy'..

YOU are meant to makes things harder for a spy.. why should the game do what you cant be bothered to do?

Check out people before you invite them to town, design the town in a way that makes it difficult for spy to have an impact on the town..

Limiting any thing else, limits what the townsfolk can do all the time as well.

You messed up all I said :x

Bashing other people leanto leaves scent, so it is a waste-crime and town claim blocks waste-crimes from raiders, why town claim can't block all waste-crimes that are going to leave scent? Bashing kiln as town member would be possible, but bashing not yours leanto not, simple?

As for larceny I said it should be blocked only on CHARACTERS(!!!), not on structures or items picked from ground... so you can work, but you can't take your friend items if he gets KOd.
Murder can be used only on character so where is the problem?

I think game should help mayor to manage town members as much as possible, not skype or TS.
My ideas doesn't block anything that townsfolk can do if he is not going to leave scents on his town claim.

The whole siege warfare system is so FUBAR it reminds me of Bucket Grinding from pre-curio Haven. Tinkering at the edges ain't gonna fix it, a total replacement system is needed.
