There are no material costs. However, in return you do agree to a few restrictions on your activities, such as:
-Settling within the approved area (east of the Jorb Vault, near the coast)
-Not committing any Criminal Acts
-Not conspiring against the Tribe

You still have basic responsibilities to maintain your own settlement - if you let your claimstone expire, for example, then anyone can plunder/destroy your things without leaving criminal scents.

I think that is one of main requirements for joining.

Heya,

I am looking for a little clarification on a couple points:

In the "rules" portion of the treaty, it states that treaty members shall not commit crimes against their fellow man. In the FAQ and other portions of this post, I see numerous references to killing people and razing settlements for people who have not signed the treaty. I see references to "illegal settlements" and "criminals", but don't see those terms defined anywhere. Could someone please provide clarification please?

Regards,

It means you don't press the criminal acts button if you are a treaty member.

Great... So I guess that means that so long as I never commit a criminal act and get flagged a criminal, then I will never be attacked by a treaty member or have to worry about a treaty member raiding my settlement?

He can wear what ever he likes. I don't think you really understand how good treaty members get treated by us. We go out of our way to help them.

Edit: What's wrong with living on the coast? Isn't it like 5+ hours north and 5+ hours south of boston? That's so much room to find a living space.....

I find the first restriction significant. I've walked back to my claim 3 times from Boston and I have noticed that lean-too's are profilic to a certain point... and then disappear. This is not 'just' the Wildnerness Guide; but I also suspect it's Tribe's limit on their mapping server.

ribe controlled most of the Plymouth..the last server by placing some 1000's of alts throughout the map... and then "supposedly" using java code logged each ones area map to gain map data on any change... so any pavement or significant dirt leveling showed up as a red flag that Tribe could then investigate and/or kill the perp.

New map being many times bigger than the old... Tribe can't or hasn't been able to cover the whole map... so they require you to stay where they can 'see' you. Wow- it's little better than saying- stay small and stupid and we'll put up with you. That's what every new peep wants right? Weak and needing protection?

The Alt-Matrix is being reprogrammed and within weeks it will be up and running to cover the entire map again.
