Oil Lamps

Postby Whiskybob » Sat Mar 22, 2014 2:50 am

I was thinking (again) that it would be fun to make more use for oil in the game.

OIL LAMPS:
3 iron bars 4 nails 2 fibres (example)
It would be a torch that would use vegetable oil as its fuel. It would last waaaay longer than a regular torch.

Another thing: you could use Oil Lamp with some sharpened sticks or stuff and make oil lantern that could be placed inside a mine. Many people use mines as their storage area and its so bloody dark in there and fireplace (that has very short lifespan) is the only way to lighten it up.

I like this idea! I am afraid of the dark and the mine is freaky especially when they have dead animals in them.

Rudolf Diesel disagrees.

Because biodiesel is so easy to make and so cheap and American settlers totally knew how to create biofuels back then.

Just as they knew how to make use of hydrated lime to fertilize soil apparently.

Fertilizing soil is ancient, that **** was around long before 'murrica was even "found". I dunno about the lime tho.

Besides first oil lamps used olive oil and sesame oil so I guess using vegetable oil wouldnt be that far fetched.
