how about just stopping a word-play?
no matter what you guys say, that thread gave me a puke. i hardly see it friendly, readable, accessible.
(for what its worth, id rather consider the first pic bearable than others because it is using the actual salem char pic.)
also, subjective or not, the judgement is dependent on mods conscience. we all know itll be unlocked if jorb or loftar finds it wrong and should be unlocked for "the greater good" as you guys say.

Images of scalping and partial nudity are inappropriate. Modifying posters to target a new audience doesn't diminish their meaning even if they're dated. Within other contexts such things are potentially fine. Screenshots of in-game kills as 'scalps' and characters without clothes are fine. Art can be in poor taste. That thread was going nowhere good fast and particularly wasn't political in any in-game context. Propaganda only works if it has some relation to in-game activity otherwise it's just a random image thread. The thread started out with enough potential but was only going downhill as it turned from 'Anti-Tribe' to 'Shop everything to be anti-Indians.'

To naosnule: arguing for the letter of the rules and to do away with the spirit of the rules is in bad taste. You may believe that as much as you'd like but the goal of moderation is to make the forum more readable.

If you'd like to continue to revile and hate me for this decision, shoot it to my askbox to avoid cluttering up this thread.

None of those posters were ever intended to contain negative connotations directed against anyone except tribal members. Additionally I find the insinuation that they were incredibly offensive.

If anyone has an issue with individual posts in that thread then they should be dealt with individually.

My personal opinion is that there's an excess of oversensitive people around.
