So I thought it was about time we had a thread to figure out how traps actually work, what determines the rate and type of fish you catch.
I had been catching shiny spinners, trunk nosed lake perch, Gold Pickerel using wood choppings at about 20%, the trap was in a lake.
I have now moved and I am catching Tiger trout and Ghostly white fish in a different lake with wood choppings, early indications suggest 20% is still a possibility.
I think it must take about 30 minutes for the trap to tick and the bait will be taken on a last in first out basis.
I hypothesize that location determines what you catch and bait determines how much you catch.

A good listing of what can catch which fish would be very useful, though if one item catches one fish on node A, but catches two other fish on node B, it may not be as helpful as if it was a 1:1 relationship. Someone can correct me if my memory is bad on this one, but I seem to recall jorb or loftar one mentioning that the nodes can move, too, or something like that. (At least, they could potentially deplete for some hours if overfished.)
