House Expansion

Same idea as haven:
-Cellars
-Upstairs

I couldn't find it anywhere in the search but if more furniture were to be added later on the extra space will be needed. Perhaps house additions on the outside could be possible down the road (stables and the like) renovated into the side on your farmhouse with a door inside leading over but I won't get my hopes up.

Great idea... imho witches should have ability to build, hidden from common pilgrims, cellar doors:P

I kinda assumed this was in the works in some way/shape/form. Current houses don't really increase the amount of space in an area like they do in haven, and without some massive benefits they aren't much worth building. Cabinets are a touch too expensive to justify houses and stoves only really require a single house per village/claim.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

It's still so weird to me that you can just stand outside in Salem. Since you can't even shoot over walls you're no safer inside your house than outside aside from the initial sighting of you.

IMO it's a good thing that houses aren't needed much as long as they're separate areas from the main map.

By the power of thread necromancy I summon you!

Like the OP said, I am sure they will be adding things such as cellars and upstairs because they did in Haven.

I just wanted to add the suggestion of a couple more upgrades:
Rainwater harvesting: costs metal (guttering) and some wood for a water butt, it should very slowly produce reasonable quality water, of course water quality needs to be implemented first.

Veranda: Potted plants grow slightly faster on a veranda, lets say 60hrs instead of 72?

Just updating this with the suggestions from another thread about houses having slots for storage bins that are accessible from both inside and outside:
Procne wrote:- Wood shed - stores 100 wood blocks
- Log shed - stores 10 wood logs
- Plank stack - stores 50 boards of any kind
- Wood choppings bin - stores 200 wood choppings
- Hay stack - stores 50 hay
- Mushroom drying rack - stores 50 mushrooms of any kind
- Vegetable bin - stores 50 pumpkins of any kind or any other vegetable we would get in the future
- Stone / coal / ore heap - stores 100 lime / granite / stone / coal / ore

Not all of these would necessarily be additions to a house, someone else also suggested a meat storage area.
