Boundry Stone issue

I have unlocked (through the Founding Fathers Pack) the ability to lay boundry stones. I cannot however place them or the flag to extend my village claim. They're in the build menu, but when I click the button nothing at all happens. No message in System window, noise, anything.

Is this known, am I doing something wrong?

You need Rights of Englishmen to build the extension objects, but there is a bug in that the town doesn't properly check for that and sends you the buttons anyway.
